Tish lost 53 pounds

Transformation of the Day: Tish lost 53 pounds. She decided to give Weight Watchers a try in February 2020. After the pandemic started, she turned a negative into a positive and devoted more time to working out and cooking healthy meals. Eventually, she hired a personal trainer who helped her with consistency.

What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?

My weight loss motivation started after attending Oprah Winfrey’s Weight Watchers Tour in Dallas, TX, in February 2020 [2020 Vision Tour]. Her words and advice motivated me to give Weight Watchers a try. I tried so many other weight loss methods and failed.

What kept me going was when the pandemic hit in March 2020. I used the pandemic to focus on myself. Being isolated from friends and family gave me the opportunity to work out at home and cook more. There was no more going out to eat!

How did you change your eating habits?

I changed my eating habits by joining Weight Watchers. I didn’t feel like I was on a “diet.” I also did not have to give up some of my favorite foods.

What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?

My routine consists of working out 5-6 days a week. For five of those days, I do strength training. I also hired a personal trainer. @ozonefitness_ and his team keep me consistent.

What was your starting weight? What is your current Weight?

My starting weight was 250 pounds, and my current weight is 197 pounds.

What is your height?

I’m 5’6″.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?

I started this weight loss transformation SERIOUSLY in April 2020. I’m still going strong!

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?

Weight loss surgery was not part of my plan, but I don’t knock it.

What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?

My advice is to not give up! We as women lose ourselves as mothers, wives, and in our careers.
